How to Reprogram a Zenith Remote
Your Zenith remote can be used to control a television set as well as other electronic devices, such as a DVD player. If you acquire a new electronic device, you may need to reprogram the Zenith remote control to use it with that device. Reprogramming a Zenith remote is no different than originally programming it. To reprogram the Zenith remote with an electronic device, you will need to save the proper code on the remote.

Power on the device you want to reprogram the Zenith remote to by pressing its “ON” or “POWER” button.

Hold down the button labeled “Code Search" for roughly five seconds. The light on the remote will turn on.

Press the button on the Zenith remote for the electronic device you powered up in step one (i.e., TV, DVR, etc.).

Start pressing “Power” or “ON/OFF” on the Zenith remote. Doing so will go through all of the codes on the remote. When you find the proper code, the powered-up device will shut off.

Press the “Mute” button on the remote to save the code.
