How to Reconnect Wiring for a Wall Oven
Reconnecting a wall oven wiring is easy if there was already an oven there. Just remember that wall ovens must be supplied with the right voltage and frequency; they should be connected to an individual, grounded branch circuit; and there should be a fuse or circuit breaker. Wall ovens have metal plates fixed to them which have all the information you need, like wattage (the wattage determines the type of fuse), and the oven's instruction manual will have a chart advising the amperage of the fuse for the wattage of the oven. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Check your local codes. Some codes allow grounding through the white (neutral) wire and some don't.
-
2
Disconnect the power supply.
-
-
3
Verify the wiring leading from the junction box to the fused disconnect or circuit breaker is of the correct type. It should be flexible armored or nonmetallic sheathed cable.
-
4
Run the included flexible armored cable from the appliance to the junction box. There should be some slack between the junction box and appliance.
-
5
Connect the black wire from the appliance to the black wire from the power supply in the junction box. Connect the red wire to the red wire.
-
6
Connect the white wire to the white wire if your codes don't allow grounding through the white (neutral) wire. Connect the bare or green wires in the junction box to the junction box itself. They screw to the casing of the junction box. Or, if your codes permit grounding through the white (neutral) wire, connect the white wire and the bare or green wire from the appliance to the junction box casing. Connect the white wire from the power supply to the junction box casing.
