1
Clean the backsplash using a paper towel and a spray with a degreasing agent. Allow to dry thoroughly.

2
Measure the mural and visualize exactly where you want the mural to be situated on the backsplash. If working with a smooth backsplash, such as laminate or marble, hold the mural onto the wall, with the help of a friend, if necessary. Mark the four edges onto the backsplash with a non-permanent marker.

3
Measure the dimensions of each tile square if your backsplash is made of tile, and mark these dimensions onto the mural with a pencil. Cut out mural pieces with a utility knife to fit the tiles.

4
Apply a wallpaper adhesive to the back of the murals, whether it is a solid piece or individual pieces.
-
5
Apply the mural onto the backsplash, all at once or one tile at a time. Adjust quickly to be sure it is hanging straight and in line with the tile, if applicable. Press firmly from the center outward to smooth out the air bubbles.
