How to Create Svg in Inkscape

Inkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor. The standard file type for Inkscape is an .svg file. This file is a scalable vector graphics file that is, according to Adobe, "a text-based graphics language that describes images with vector shapes, text, and embedded raster graphics."

Instructions

1. Open Inkscape.

2. Create or manipulate any image. The image style is not important.

3. Click "File." In the upper left-hand corner of the window, click and open the file menu.

4. Click "Save As." "Save As" is the last selection of the first set of selections.

5. Insert the file name you desire for your work. The default file type is an .svg file.
