How to Remove an Image Background in Photoshop Elements
One of the features that Photoshop users enjoy is the function that allows them to remove the background from an image. This can be especially useful in situations when, for instance, a user wants to make the subject of a photo look as if he is in a different place. For example, a Photoshop Elements user can take a photo of a person with a house in the background, remove the background, then use the image in front of another background.

Outline the background of the image by tracing around the background and left-clicking the mouse often to make sure the entire background is being selected. To completely outline the background, you must start and stop your tracing at the exact same point. You will know when you have reached this point because a small circle will appear next to your cursor.

Press the "Backspace" or "DEL" key on your keyboard. The background area that you have selected will now be removed and your image will now consist of only the main subject. You are now free to print, save or move this image on top of a different background.
