How to Draw a Vampire Bat
Bats are scary and ghoulish creatures but they provide a good sketching activity for people with beginner or intermediate drawing skills. Drawing a vampire bat is not only interesting but relatively easy. With a few moments of your time and with very little drawing tools, you can draw a step-by-step vampire bat caricature, adding in more color or flair to suit your own taste.

1
Take out a sharp sketching pencil, an eraser and a piece of white construction paper to draw the bat on. Mark a large, black semicircle for the bat's head in the middle of the paper.
-
2
Draw a semi-crescent underneath the bat's head. Starting from the left side of the semi-crescent, make another semi-crescent below the first, connecting the left end of the semi-crescent to the right end.

3
Draw a crescent from the top of the left side of the body and another on the right side. You should now visibly see the bat wings taking shape. Shade in the bat wings and underbelly.
-
4
Add detail to the bat's face to create a vampire look. Make two black dots for the eyes and draw a wide crescent for the bat's mouth. Make two sharp, triangular teeth. Draw a small teardrop underneath the mouth and fill it in with a red marker to create a blood-drip look. Draw two sharp triangular ears on top of the head.
