How to Replace an Image During a Powerpoint

Microsoft PowerPoint presentations involve a variety of different multimedia options that can boost the look of your slides. They include graphic images, movies and even audio. With so much going on, it's likely you might need to make edits and changes among those graphics. If it's an image file you need to remove or replace, that can be done with just a few clicks of your mouse.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Microsoft PowerPoint and load the slide show you have crafted. The slide images appear at the top of the screen.

    • 2

Click on the particular slide that contains the picture you want to remove.

    • 3

Click on the image to select it, then press the "Delete" button. The image disappears from the program.

    • 4

Select "Insert" followed by "Picture," then "From File." When the small search window appears select the image file you want to load and click "OK." The image should now loads onto the slide.

    • 5

Click the image and drag it to the area where you want the picture. It may be necessary to edit the size of the new image. Click the corner of it while holding the shift button. Drag the mouse to the closest computer screen corner to make the image bigger. For example, if you have clicked the upper right corner of the picture and you drag your mouse towards the upper right corner of the computer screen the image becomes bigger. Dragging the image towards the opposite corner will make the image smaller. Hold down the shift button to keep the image from distorting while adjusting the size.
