How to fix an iPod classic

Have your iPod out with the frozen screen. Make sure it's stopped responding by pressing the play/pause button and wait a couple seconds. Patiences is a virtue.

Still not working? Press and hold the center button and menu button at the same time for 5-10 seconds.

You should see your ipod restart and go back to the main menu. If this hasn't happened try step 2 again. Make sure you're pressing both of the buttons at the same time.

Congratulations! You've just fixed your iPod and saved yourself a trip to the Apple store or Best Buy.

If none of this works you can also let your iPod battery run out. When you plug it in to a charger or your computer it should sync properly and begin to play again.
