  • Baking dish
  • 5 tablespoons of butter
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of fresh sliced strawberries, peaches, blueberries or blackberries or 1 12 ounces frozen package of mixed berries
  • 1 tablespoons of sugar
  • Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Instructions

      Heat oven to 350 F while you get your cobbler put together. Put butter in an 8- or 9-inch baking dish and place in oven until melted and then remove.

      Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Add milk and mix until lump free. Pour the batter into the baking dish.

      Sprinkle fruit over batter and top it with 1 tablespoon of sugar. You can add a few more pats of butter on top. Bake until batter is brown and the fruit starts bubbling. It usually takes around 50 to 60 minutes.
