How to Get the Front Panel Off an Amana Washer
To access the motor and pump assembly on an Amana washer, you have to remove the front panel. To get the front panel off, you need to remove the toe panel directly underneath the front panel. The panels are attached to the washer with a series of screws and retaining clips. The screws securing the front panel are under the top of the toe panel. You can remove both panels within 15 minutes and access the inside of the cabinet. Does this Spark an idea?

Disconnect the power cord of the Amana washer from the wall outlet.

Remove the two screws that secure the bottom of the toe panel to the washer base with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The screws are three inches from each corner near the bottom edge of the toe panel.

Insert the blade of a putty knife between the front panel and toe panel, three inches from the right front corner of the washer. Locate the clip that secures the top of the toe panel to the washer with the putty knife blade. Press in on the clip while pulling out the top corner of the toe panel with your hand.

Find the clip on the upper left side of the toe panel and depress the clip with the putty knife. Pull the toe panel away from the Amana washer cabinet.

Find the two screws that secure the bottom of the front panel to the washer and remove them using a Phillips-head screwdriver.

Pull the bottom of the front panel toward you, then pull down to disengage the top retaining clips. Move the front panel away from the Amana washer.
