3
Choose paper style. You can buy pre-cut cardstock that is a plain color or one with a pre-printed design on it. Pick the type of paper you want to use for your invitations and make sure that the dimensions of the paper and the invitation layout you’ve chosen match.
-
4
Add invitation verse. Add the invitation verse to the front of the invitation as the layout permits. This may include “You’re Invited,” or the type of party it is. If it is a one panel invitation then add the party invitation verse.

5
Print a test invitation. Cut a plain piece of paper to the dimensions of your invitation. Print the invitation on the paper to make sure that everything prints correctly. Make any adjustments to the layout or text and run test prints until the invitation looks the way you want.
-
6
Print the invitation onto cardstock. Once the invitation looks the way you want it to, run one cardstock at a time through the printer. Continue to do this until you have printed the quantity of invitations you need to mail to your invited guests.

Tips & Warnings
Allow the ink on the invitation to dry completely before stuffing into the mailing envelope.
Avoid touching the ink so that it doesn’t smear.
Purchase extra pre-cut cardstock and envelopes to allow for printing mistakes.
If you wish to decorate your invitations further, consider adding embellishments such as ribbons, bows, jewels and other decorative items.
You may want to have one or two people review the copy to make sure the grammar and spelling are correct before printing out the invitations on cardstock.
