How to Open a Blocked Gmail
For most people who are students or who work regular jobs, accessing the Gmail homepage is not possible, as many educational institutions and employers block the Gmail homepage. While there are good reasons for blocking access to Gmail from work or school, especially since checkingemail can be a source of distraction, there may be times when it is urgent to access email from work or school. Therefore, there are steps that can be taken to bypass this restriction.

Access the Gmail homepage through a variety of access Uniform Resource Locators (URLs). Some of these include but are not limited to the following: http://gmail.com, https://gmail.com, http://m.gmail.com, https://m.gmail.com, http://googlemail.com, https://googlemail.com, http://mail.google.com/mail/x/, and https://mail.google.com/mail/x/

Install Google Desktop, a free application by Google that allows Gmail users to access their email without signing in on the Gmail homepage. To download this application, see Resources.
