How to Make Music Crafts Using Sticks

It's important for toddlers to have time each day to play with music crafts. It helps promote creativity, and it teaches them about the different sounds that objects can make. Music instruments don't have to be bought. They can be made in your home with everyday objects.

Things You'll Need

• 2 empty yogurt containers
• 2 small squares of cardboard
• 2 sticks, such as paint stirrers
• Popcorn kernels
• Hot glue gun

Instructions

1. Rinse out two empty yogurt containers and dry them.

2. Fill up both containers halfway with popcorn kernels.

3. Put hot glue on the edges surrounding the openings of the yogurt containers.

4. Place a small piece of cardboard (just bigger than the opening of the yogurt container) over the openings of each yogurt container.

5. Apply hot glue to the back of both sticks.

6. Stick them to the top of the cardboard you've just glued down.

7. Wait 30 minutes for the glue to dry.
