Every golfer knows that he must take good care of his golf equipment if he expects it to last. The same goes for his golf shoes. Most golf shoes are made out of materials that draw a lot of dirt. A good cleaning every once in a while will prolong the life of the shoes.
Use a stiff brush to scrub mud, grass, sand and debris from the shoes. This should eliminate dried out dirt and anything else picked up on the golf course. If you can unscrew the spikes on the bottom, do that and brush the bottoms of the shoes.

Dip a white cloth in warm, soapy water and use it to rub grass stains. Rub gently, and do not let the shoes get too wet. Use another damp cloth with water only to wipe away soap residue. Use a towel to dry the shoes or let them air-dry.

Polish the shoes with a leather shoe polish that matches the shoe color. Let the shoes air-dry. Add a coat of waterproofing solution after the polish dries.
