Make those boring Christmas balls beautiful.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Buy a package of clear glass Christmas balls.

  2. Step 2

Arrange the Redi Lead design to your liking.

  3. Step 3

Peel the lead from its paper backing and apply it to a ball.

  4. Step 4

Squeeze a Window Color directly from the bottle onto the ball, filling in the spaces where you want that color.

  5. Step 5

Apply the paint generously, but not so much that it runs.

  6. Step 6

Use a straight pin to pop any air bubbles in the paint.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want to paint the lead, which is black, apply the paint and let it dry before you remove the lead from its paper backing.
  • Use an X-Acto knife to trim away excess lead.
  • Paint half of the ornament, let it dry, then paint the other half.

on 11/22/2005 When I can't find the clear glass balls, I use the colored ones...Just fill a bowl or small tub with bleach and soak the colored ones for a few minutes and the paint will peel right off. Rinse and you're ready to go!

on 11/22/2005 When I made this project, I found that using Plaid's Gallery glass stain works the best. It is a thinner paint, and it looks prettier than their glass paint.
