How to Make a Prom Wristlet

Choose an elastic wristlet to form the base of your corsage. Many floral and craft supply stores offer a variety of styles with plastic or metal prongs attached to hold flowers and greenery. Make sure the wristlet is comfortable to wear.

Visit a florist or other retail shop that sells fresh flowers to select the blooms you'll be using for the wristlet. Pick two to three large blooms, some leaves and greenery, and a few smaller buds or blossoms. Alternatively, you can use silk artificial flowers. Cut stems until there is about 1/2 inch of stem remaining.

Fan out some of the leaves and greenery to form a backdrop for your flowers. Wrap the stems of the leaves and greenery with floral wire when you have the design you want. Ensure that this greenery backdrop lies mostly flat.

Tie a bow around the flower stems with ribbon. Make it elaborate or simple, depending on your taste. Alternatively, you can purchase a pre-made bow and attach it with floral glue to the base of the greenery stems.

Attach the greenery backdrop and bow to the wristlet, using the prongs to secure.
