Instructions

    • 1

Choose an elastic wristlet to form the base of your corsage. Many floral and craft supply stores offer a variety of styles with plastic or metal prongs attached to hold flowers and greenery. Make sure the wristlet is comfortable to wear.

    • 2

Visit a florist or other retail shop that sells fresh flowers to select the blooms you'll be using for the wristlet. Pick two to three large blooms, some leaves and greenery, and a few smaller buds or blossoms. Alternatively, you can use silk artificial flowers. Cut stems until there is about 1/2 inch of stem remaining.

    • 3

Fan out some of the leaves and greenery to form a backdrop for your flowers. Wrap the stems of the leaves and greenery with floral wire when you have the design you want. Ensure that this greenery backdrop lies mostly flat.

    • 4

Tie a bow around the flower stems with ribbon. Make it elaborate or simple, depending on your taste. Alternatively, you can purchase a pre-made bow and attach it with floral glue to the base of the greenery stems.

    • 5

Attach the greenery backdrop and bow to the wristlet, using the prongs to secure.

    • 6

Arrange flowers, buds and existing greenery into the presentation you want. Secure stems together with floral tape. Attach the arrangement with floral glue to the greenery backdrop.

    • 7

Add any embellishments you desire, such as rhinestones, pearls or glitter, and secure with floral glue.

    • 8

Mist the corsage lightly with water and store in a plastic container in the refrigerator until it is ready to be worn.

Tips & Warnings

  • The flower corsage will only last a few days. For best results, store only for a day or two, or wear immediately.
