Instructions

    • 1

Swim head-high freestyle (see "How to Swim Head-High Freestyle").

    • 2

Position the ball in front of you as you swim. A small wake of water is created in front of your chest as you swim head-high freestyle. The ball should ride easily on this water.

    • 3

Keep your head high out of the water, looking over the top of the ball.

    • 4

Extend your strokes past the ball as you swim, keeping the ball corralled in your arms. Your body should not need to touch the ball as you swim.
