How to Blend Images in PaintShop Pro

PaintShop Pro offers a wide array of effects that you can apply to photographs. One of those effects is the blending image effect. This allows you to combine two or more separate images, put them onto the same plane and blend them seamlessly into one classy collage.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open your PaintShop Pro application.

    • 2

Select the image you want to use as the background. Add a new layer by selecting "Layers" and then "New Raster Layer."

    • 3

Open another image (the one you want to blend into the background) while still leaving your first image open.

    • 4

Use the Freehand tool to draw an outline around the image you want to blend.

    • 5

Select the first image by clicking on it. Click "Edit" and then "Paste" to put your second image onto your background image. Move the second image by clicking and dragging it until it ends up where you want it to be.

    • 6

Select "Layers" once the two images have been combined and then select "Properties." Look under the "General" tab for a section that says "Blend Mode." Click the arrow to bring up a drop-down menu and choose "Hard Light."

    • 7

Play around the opacity level and "Blend Mode" settings until you get the desired effect. Click "OK" to save your settings and then save the blended picture.
