How to Uninstall U3 From a Flash Drive
The U3 Launchpad is a utility with a set of features and programs designed specifically for a USB flash drive. Users can install portable versions of popular applications, have a file system, and run it all from the convenience of their flash drives. In some instances, the U3 system can conflict with some files or programs, causing the flash drive to freeze when those files are accessed. Users can easily remove the utility to get back access to their flash drives.

Plug the USB drive that contains the U3 Launcher into an available USB port on your computer.

Click the "Launch" button on the U3 prompt that appears next to your system tray. If the prompt doesn't appear, find the U3 icon in your system tray and click on it to launch the U3 program. On the menu that appears, click "Settings."

Click the "U3 Launchpad Settings" and then click the "Uninstall" tab on the U3 Launchpad Settings menu.

Tips & Warnings
If you are having trouble locating the uninstall feature, the U3 website (see the Resources section) has a utility you can use to uninstall the launchpad. Simply save the program to your flash drive and run it from the drive.
U3 Launchpad cannot be reinstalled after you have removed it. Be sure you want to remove it before starting the uninstall process.
Close any windows and programs that are accessing the flash drive before you uninstall U3 Launchpad.
