How to Make Soap Balls with Bath Salts

You can make soap balls with a number of bath-related items, such as bath oils, lavender flower petals or even bath salts. The process for making homemade soap balls is the same for whichever additive you wish to include. All you need is a basic, simple soap (such as Dove) for your basis and the bath salts you wish to add in. Forming nicely sized soap balls may take some practice to master.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Grate the bar of soap into flakes in a large bowl.

    • 2

Add one cup of bath salts into the bowl.

    • 3

Add one-quarter of a cup of warm water into the bowl and stir. Some of the salts may dissolve while mixing together the soap "soup" but that is alright. If the soap doesn't melt into a soup, microwave the mix for about two minutes on high. Then let it cool a little before forming balls.

    • 4

Roll the soap "soup" into balls and place them on the cookie sheet to dry and harden. It will take about two days for the soap to be fully hardened and ready for use.
