How to Copy From a Floppy Disk to CD
Floppy disks are an older storage technology that is no longer being used on a widespread basis. One major reason floppy disks are no longer used is that they can only hold 1.44 megabytes worth of data, which is a relatively small amount. However, you may have important data stored on floppy disks that you want to back up on another storage device like a CD.

Insert a blank CD into your computer's CD burner. When a dialog box appears, select Open writable CD folder using Windows Explorer. A new blank CD folder opens.

Insert the floppy disk into the floppy disk drive of your computer.

Open the floppy disk by clicking Start and then My Computer. Under Devices with removable storage, double-click the floppy disk drive.

Select the contents of floppy disk and then right-click the files. Select Copy.

Navigate back to the CD folder. Right-click inside of the CD folder and select Paste. The files are pasted into the CD folder and are now ready to be burned onto the CD.

Click the Burn button located in the blue bar at the top of Windows Explorer. The files are burned onto your CD.

Eject the CD from the CD burner and the files are now permanently stored on your CD.
