Instructions

    • 1

Put on a pair of plastic gloves. The ink will dye your skin when you are working to get it off your suit.

    • 2

Spray hairspray on the ink stain. Make sure you are generous with the hairspray. Give the hairspray about 60 seconds to do its job.

    • 3

Wet a white cloth and wring it out. Don't use a colored cloth, because it will contain dye of its own. That dye could transfer to your suit.

    • 4

Dab up the ink with the white cloth.

    • 5

Repeat Steps 2 through 4 until you have completely removed the ink stain.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you get your suit dry-cleaned after you remove the stain. You will need to get the smell of the hairspray out of it before you wear it again.

  • You can also try commercial products designed specifically for removing ink stains.

  • Don't wait to remove the ink stain. The longer you wait, the less of a chance you have of removing the ink from your suit.
