How to Add an Underline to an Office 2007 Menu
Personal computer (PC) users who are new to the Microsoft Office 2007 Graphic User Interface (GUI) may find that they have accidentally removed a command, such as the Underline command, from the Office 2007 menu/ribbon. Fortunately, commands removed from the Office 2007 ribbon can be restored easily. In fact, in addition being able to restore commands to the Office 2007 menu, Office users can also add optional commands to the Office 2007 menu. One of the easiest ways to restore the Underline tool in Office 2007 is by using the "Customize" tool.

Open the Office 2007 program you would like to restore the Underline tool in, and then click on "File." If you are working in Word 2007, click on "Word Options" from the File drop-down menu. If you are working in another Office program, select the program options button, denoted by the name of the program, followed by "Options" under the File drop-down menu.

Click "Customize" from the program options dialog box, and then select "All Commands" from the "Choose command from" drop-down menu. A comprehensive list of commands in the Office program is displayed under the "Choose commands from" section.

Scroll through the commands to find the Underline tool, typically denoted by an underlined letter of the alphabet. Add the tool by clicking on it, selecting the "Add" button, and then choosing "OK." You have successfully restored the Underline tool to your Office 2007 program menu.
