How to Find Yahoo Messenger Version 8.0

Instructions

1. Uninstall a newer version of Yahoo! Messenger before finding and installing Yahoo! Messenger 8. To do so, click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel."

2. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" to launch the installed programs list if you are using Windows XP. For Windows Vista and 7 users, launch the programs list by clicking "Programs" and clicking "Program and Features." Scroll through and click Yahoo! Messenger. Click "Remove/Uninstall" to remove the program from your computer.

3. Go to Oldapps.com and click the "Yahoo! Messenger" link. A new page opens that contains old versions of Yahoo! Messenger.

4. Scroll down the list and click the "Yahoo! Messenger 8.0" download. Click "Download Yahoo! Messenger 8.0 again and click "Save" to launch the file saving dialog box. Select the desktop and click "Save" to download the installation file to your desktop.

5. Double-click the installation file from the desktop and click "Run" to launch the installation wizard. Follow the guided prompts to complete the installation.
