Instructions

    • 1

Take measurements of your soft dance pad. This should be basic retail dance pad and will be made of thin plastic layers. Most standard dance pads are about 3 feet by 3 feet. You need to know the dimensions as a base to do your shopping and cutting.

    • 2

Get plywood and clear vinyl sheeting. You can find the lumber in almost any major hardware chain and the vinyl in any crafting store. It's important for the vinyl to be clear plastic vinyl and not have any designs or patterns or anything that might inhibit your ability to use the pad. The vinyl should be cut about 6 inches taller and 6 inches wider than the plywood.

    • 3

Place the soft pad onto the plywood and carefully wrap the vinyl over the pad and wood. Place a few staples in the plywood (being careful not to staple your dance pad).

    • 4

Pull the excess vinyl to the underside of your pad and staple it tightly until your dance pad is completely wrapped.
