How to Use a Gummy Stone

A gummy, or "gummi," stone is a special tool that helps maintain snow skis and snowboards. The gummy stone helps smooth or "detune" skis after sharpening and removes burrs that can make skiers and snowboarders fall when carving through the snow. Gummy stones can be made of various materials but most often of fine-grit stone.
