How to Format a Palm Expansion Card

Most Palm Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and Smartphones typically come with an expansion card slot. These slots allow for an expansion card to be inserted into the device, granting it additional memory for things such as files, music, videos and programs. Sometimes the card will not work for the Palm device, however, which means you will have to format the card.

Things You'll Need

• Palm device with expansion card slot.

Instructions

1. Go to the main menu of your Palm device.

2. Insert the expansion card into the card slot on the Palm device.

3. Choose "All" in the category list at the top of the screen, then choose "Card Info."

4. Tap on the "Menu" Button.

5. Tap the "Format Card" option and press OK.

Tips & Warnings

• If you use the card in another device, you may need to format it again.
