How to Make a Cute Satchel Purse for Your iPad

Things You'll Need
- plush material for lining
- material for shell (1/2 yard total)
- 2 pieces of 19" ribbon
- Sewing machine, pins, scissors.

Cut two pieces of material each 9 3/4 inches by 12 inches. Use soft, thicker material for the lining piece.

Cut one long piece for the strap, about 52 inches long by 5 inches wide.

Fold each of the three pieces in half with the wrong side up. Use a few pins to hold the fabric in place.

Sew the sides on all three pieces. You only need to sew one side of the strap.

Leave the lining as is and turn the strap and the other pouch inside out.

Insert the lining pouch inside the outer pouch.

Sew the top edges and sew in the straps and ribbon all at the same time.

Tuck both edges of the two pouches inside about 1/2 inch and secure with pins.

Insert the strap ends between the pieces. You may have to take out a few pins and pin again. You shouldn't have to put the straps inside more than 1 inch. Take two pieces of ribbon and position them for the handle.

Sew all the way around, securing the straps and ribbons.

You can double the ribbons, using four instead of two for the handles.
