How to Measure Boxer Shorts

Boxer shorts are men's underclothes that are typically worn as underwear but do not have to be. Boxers come in several sizes, patterns, lengths and materials. Many people choose to make their own boxer shorts in order to have them tailored to their bodies, which allows for a more comfortable and snug fit.       Draw a pair of shorts onto your paper.

      Measure with tape measure around the area of your waist where you want the boxer shorts to fit. Write the number above the waistline on your drawn shorts.

      Measure the area around your backside. Write this number down across the middle of the drawn shorts.

      Measure the length from your waist where the boxers should sit to the length down your thigh where you want the boxers to end. Write this measurement on the side of your boxer short diagram.

      Measure the length between the groin and leg to where you want the boxers to end, which should be the same point as the outside of the thigh. This is the inseam and you need to write this measurement down in the corresponding place on your diagram, or just below the diagram.

      Measure the thickness of your thigh at the largest area. Write this measurement below the diagram and denote the fact that it is your thigh measurement.
