Instructions

  1. Vellum Covered

    • 1

Visit your local craft store and look for wrapping paper with pea pods on it or look for scrapbook paper or stationery and cut the paper and vellum down to your preferred invitation size.

    • 2

Choose your invitation wording including any pertinent party information.

    • 3

Print the invitation information directly onto the vellum.

    • 4

Use a hole puncher to punch holes through the vellum and pea pod paper.

    • 5

Tie a piece of ribbon through the holes to attach the vellum on top of the pea pod paper to finish the invitation. The party information will be easily viewable but you will also able to see the patterned paper below.

    Cookie Cutter

    • 6

Use a large half-moon shaped cookie cutter to trace your pea pod onto a piece of light green cardstock.

    • 7

Use a smaller round cookie cutter to trace two to three pea shapes onto a piece of dark green card stock.

    • 8

      Cut the peas out.

    • 9

Write the party information on the peas.

    • 10

Use a utility knife to cut slits into the pea pod and insert the peas to complete the invitation.

    Stamped Invitations

    • 11

Use a pea pod stamp and green colored ink to stamp the pea pod onto a piece of card stock.

    • 12

Sprinkle embossing powder on top of the wet ink and pass the paper over top of a light bulb to melt the powder.

    • 13

Hand write the rest of the invitations or look for a stamp with the basic who, what, when, where of an invitation. These can often be found at craft stores or scrapbooking stores.

    Photographs

    • 14

Take a photograph of a pea pod.

    • 15

Glue the picture onto a piece of construction paper and trim the edges of the paper with patterned scissors.

    • 16

Write your party information on to the back of the paper.
