Walk to the back of the car and locate the small plastic cap at the base of the windshield wiper, toward the rear bumper. Pinch the base of the plastic cap, using your hands, and then remove the cap from the arm. Lift the arm from the end by the blade and pull it off of the windshield at a 90-degree angle to the base.

Unbolt the wiper arm from the body of the car, using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Lift the arm up and off of the glass, then place it to the side.
