How to Use a SOCOM Headset as a Microphone on a Laptop
SOCOM: Confrontation is a PS3-exclusive title that shipped with a SOCOM-branded Bluetooth headset. Although this headset is designed for use with the PlayStation 3 console, you can also use it with other Bluetooth devices such as cell phones and Bluetooth-enabled computers. If you have a laptop computer with Bluetooth capability (via either a transceiver or an adapter), you can use your SOCOM Bluetooth headset on your computer as a microphone.

1
Open the Bluetooth networking utility on your laptop computer. If you have an internal transceiver, this utility will be located in the Control Panel. If you are using an adapter, the utility will be in the Start menu. Once you have opened the utility, put the computer's Bluetooth device in "Discovery" mode.

2
Put your SOCOM Headset in pairing mode. This is done by pressing the "PS" button on the side of the device. The light on the side of the device should blink while the headset finds the Bluetooth signal from the computer.

Tips & Warnings
If you are experiencing problems with your Bluetooth headset, check your Bluetooth settings and try again. Certain adapters/transmitters have a cap on the number of Bluetooth devices that can be connected at one time. Try disconnecting some of your other Bluetooth devices and connecting again. Another problem could be the Bluetooth standard you are using. The SOCOM headset uses the 2.0 standard, so if your adapter/transceiver uses a different standard you will not be able to sync the two devices.
