How to Remove a Hyperlink in PowerPoint

PowerPoint is a type or presentation software developed by Microsoft that lets users create and edit slides with customizable features. For instance, you can create animations, design themes and add sounds to your slides. Another feature is the ability to create underlined hyperlinks on slides, allowing you to click on them to open certain web pages during presentations. However, PowerPoint sometimes automatically turns website URLs into hyperlinks even though you don't want it to do so. Luckily, removing hyperlinks is a simple process.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your PowerPoint presentation and navigate to the slide with the hyperlink.

    • 2

Right-click on the hyperlink to open a drop-down menu.

    • 3

Click on the "Remove Hyperlink" option from the menu. You can also delete the entire text with the hyperlink by highlighting it with your mouse and then pressing the delete key.

This only works if the word is recognized. If it's not then you only get spelling related options when right-clicking.
