How to Run Two Monitors

Running two monitors increases your workspace. For example, with two monitors, you can view large spreadsheets that previously had to be viewed one section at a time. Moreover, running two monitors increases your productivity. For example, you can keep two windows open at once and avoid constantly switching between them. Configuring both monitors to run at the same time is relatively easy.

Instructions

Windows

1. Click on "Start," then "Settings," then "Control Panel."

2. Click on "Display," and then click on the "Settings" tab.

3. Click on the secondary monitor icon. The secondary monitor icon is the monitor graphic that has a number other than 1 on it.

4. Click "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor."

5. Click "Apply." Your desktop should now run on both monitors.

Mac

1. Click on the "Apple" icon, then "System Preferences."

2. Click on the "Displays" tab.

3. Click on "Detect Displays." Your desktop should now run on both monitors.
