How to Dye Hair Blond With At-Home Ingredients
The first rule when attempting to dye you hair blond using household products: Never use peroxide or household bleach. This absolutely will damage and fry your hair. When hair stylists refer to "bleaching" hair, they use a hair bleach made specifically for that purpose. With that being said, you can certainly dye your hair using Kool-Aid. It can be messy and will take longer than regular hair dye to set, but it does work. You can dye your hair blond, or any color of the Kool-Aid rainbow, using the safe powder packets. Does this Spark an idea?

Saturate the hair section completely with the Kool-Aid dye by stroking the coated paintbrush on your hair strands.

Gather all of your hair to the top of your head, pull it into a bun and secure with the ponytail holder (if possible).

Put a hair cap on over your hair and head. Leave the color in your hair for 10 hours (because this is not "real" hair dye it needs a much longer time to set). A hair cap can be purchased at any beauty supply store.

Tips & Warnings
If you have dark-blond hair and want highlights: Fill a spray bottle with eight ounces of water, four ounces of real lemon juice and two tablespoons of chamomile tea. Saturate your hair with the spray and sit outside in the sun all day long. The lemon juice and tea will help bring out natural blond highlights.
