How to Convert From Freelance to PowerPoint

Lotus Freelance Graphics is Lotus' SmartSuite's presentation software option. It allows users to make effective, attractive presentations. It's also well-integrated with other SmartSuite programs. Lotus SmartSuite files can't be used by everyone, however. If you're a PowerPoint user who needs to use a Freelance file, you can use PowerPoint's conversion feature to make the switch. The process is straightforward and simple.

Things You'll Need

• Lotus Freelance files
• Microsoft PowerPoint

Instructions

1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint. Select "File," and "Open" from the menu bar. Choose "All Files" in the file type box.

2. Locate the file you wish to convert. Select the file name and open it in PowerPoint. The file should convert automatically.

3. Correct any charts or tables. Tables may have been converted to text objects, hidden data sets may be displayed, and chart size may be different in PowerPoint.

4. Save the file in PowerPoint format under a new name. This preserves the original file as a backup to the new one.

Tips & Warnings

• You may lose slide transitions and animations on conversion.
