How to Force a Disc Out of a Macbook

The MacBook--the best-selling Mac computer in Macintosh's history--was introduced in 2006 as a tool for a large consumer and education market. The notebook computer is made of 15 inches of polycarbonate or aluminum, and was one of the smallest, fully Internet-equipped computers on the market in the 2000s. While the computer enjoys a large fan base and a number of top advancements in the technology, among its flaws is the lack of a force eject pin hole, common on most disc drives. Because of this flaw, discs can often get stuck, making the user force them out.

Instructions

    • 1

Reboot your MacBook and hold the mouse click button. Holding the button during the reboot will stop the disc from trying to load and pop it out of the disc drive.

    • 2

Reboot your MacBook and hold the touchpad button to stop the disc from trying to load.

    • 3

Insert a piece of paper or playing card into the disc drive to try to touch the disc or lens reader to stop the disc from reading on a loop.

    • 4

Leave your MacBook running and leave it alone for 10 minutes. The disc may stop trying to read as the computer attempts to reboot.

    • 5

Tilt the MacBook forward and let gravity do its trick. Hold the eject key as your are tilting the disc drive toward the ground.
