How to Convert Powerpoint to Ecard

PowerPoint does not have a direct export option to Ecard, as Ecard is not a format, but a multimedia email, a specialized message that contains either pictures or video files. In order to get a PowerPoint slide show to an Ecard, you will have to convert it into a movie file and then upload it to an Ecard service. It can be a little time consuming, but in the end you can have a lovely Ecard to send someone.

Things You'll Need

  • Video software (CamStudio or Windows Movie Maker)

  1. CamStudio Method

Download and install "CamStudio" from the "Resources" section of this article. It is free so you don't have to worry about paying for it.

Launch "CamStudio" and hit the record button. Minimize the program then start your PowerPoint slide show and play it all the way through. When you finish, bring back up "CamStudio" and hit the "Stop" button. It will ask you where you want to save your video, choose where and click "Save."

Click on "File" and "Save movie." The next window opening will ask what to save the movie file to, click "Next." After that a window will open asking you what you want to name the movie and where to save the movie to.
