How to Connect a MiniDisc to a Computer

The MiniDisc format was first introduced by the Sony Corp. in the early 1990s. The format became a bridge between earlier analog cassette tape recording technology and the recordable CD units that would emerge later in the decade. A MiniDisc device connects to a stereo system using both traditional RCA audio jacks and newer digital optical cables. Connecting a MiniDisc player to a computer requires the same adapter cables as an audio cassette recorder.
