How to Make a Powerpoint Loop

Business owners and other organizational leaders need to provide customers and audiences with information in the most expedient method possible. One of the most widely-used methods of conveying audio-visual information is through Microsoft Powerpoint. There are several ways to run Powerpoint presentations, including one-time run and loop features.

Instructions

      Turn on the computer and any projector equipment you will be using, and start the Powerpoint software normally.

      Move your mouse pointer to the top of the Powerpoint screen on your computer monitor and hover the pointer over "Slide Show." Left-click to bring up the menu of slide show options, and mouse over "Set Up Show." In the configuration box that appears on your screen, left-click on "Loop Continuously Until 'Esc' " check box. Click "OK" and then start the show.

      Press the Escape (Esc) key on your keyboard when want to stop the loop.

Tips & Warnings

  • To prevent the projector from displaying the software screen after pressing the "Esc" key, turn the projector off first, and then stop the looping presentation on the computer.
