How to Check RAM Voltage
RAM is a computer component used to store data from the operating system and programs that are currently running on the computer. Like any electronic component, the RAM has very specific power requirements. RAM power requirement is dependent of the type of RAM. DDR3 requires 1.5V to 1.8V, for example. RAM voltage usually increases as the default speed does. However some motherboard do not accept RAM over a certain voltage and you should know what is the voltage your RAM is currently using before buying add-on RAM.

Go to CPUID.com/cpuz.php and click on the link under "download Latest version' on the left pane to download the latest version of CPUID to your desktop.

Double-click on the file you just downloaded to install CPUID. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Click on the "Start" menu and click on the CPU-Z icon.

Go in the "SPD" tab. In the top section, you can see how fast the memory is running in the "max bandwidth" field. In the bottom section you can see the Voltage used for different speed. Simply read the voltage for your specific speed.
