How to Get Local Channels on Dish Network

Dish Network is a satellite cable television provider. They have some attractive prices and packages that they offer to consumers, but if you do not ask for local channels specifically when you sign up, you may not be getting them. Not all packages include them. If you enjoy your local channels, and want to keep them with your current Dish Network programming package, you will need to know how to add the extra service.

• Telephone
• Your billing statement (if you are a current customer)

Instructions

1. Visit the Dish Network website to discover if local channel package options are available in your area. Fill out the form on the page to find out if you qualify for the package.

2. Call customer service at 1-888-884-2741 and tell the representative whether you qualify or not. Note that even if you do not qualify for the package, you can still receive local channels, but it will be at a slightly higher cost than in qualifying areas.

3. Explain that you would like to add local channels to your existing service, or start new service with local channels.

4. Set up the addition on an existing contract, or set an appointment to get set up for new service with the local channels included.
