How to Turn Off the Security Center in Windows Vista
The Windows Vista operating system comes with built-in features that help protect your computer's security. The Windows Security Center presents pop-up alerts when available downloads are not being installed or when the Windows firewall is disabled. If your system is currently configured to display these pop-ups, you can disable the alerts to prevent them from cluttering your screen.
