How to Install Software in a Computer Without an Optical Device

As most new software comes on CD or DVD, installing software on a computer lacking a hard drive might seem difficult at first blush, but do not be dissuaded. You can accomplish your goal by first transferring the needed files from an optical disk to your machine through the use of an intermediary networked computer that possesses an optical drive. Installing software across a network is slightly slower, but just as effective.
