How to Copy From a Comcast DVR

A Comcast digital video recorder (DVR) is equipped with a hard drive, similar to a computer's hard drive, that stores television programming without the use of video tapes. The device has limited storage, but you can copy your stored movies, television shows and other stored programming to a video cassette recorder (VCR). Once the television programming is copied to a VCR, you can erase the movie or show from your Comcast DVR to free up space.
