How to Use iCal
When you can't remember if you're supposed to be on your way to a PTA meeting or a business lunch or a friend's birthday party, it's time to organize your schedule. Apple's iCal application allows you to compartmentalize your schedule on one calendar. You can create and customize events so you are prepared for whatever meeting you have next.

1
Open iCal by clicking the icon located on the dock. It looks like a flip calendar with today's date on it.

2
Click "File" and select "New Calendar" to create a new schedule. iCal lets you create multiple color-coded schedules so you can easily identify the different activities on your calendar. Make one schedule for work activities, and one for personal. If you are part of multiple organizations, you can make as many schedules as you need.
