Instructions

    • 1

Lay the Easter themed fabric on a work table, right side down.

    • 2

Spray the bottom of the small cardboard box and press it down in the center of the fabric. Spray one side of the box with adhesive and roll the box over onto the fabric. Press the inside of the box to secure the fabric. Proceed the same way with the opposite side of the box.

    • 3

Use scissors to cut off excess fabric along the sprayed box sides, leaving 2-inches of extra fabric. Make a vertical cut on the fabric at either end of the box sides at the corners to make 2-inch wide flaps.

    • 4

Spray adhesive on the 2-inch wide strip of fabric extending from the box on one side. Fold it over and press it over the lip of the box and down the inside for a neat finish. Proceed the same way with the other side.

    • 5

Fold the fabric in at one of the other unfinished ends of the box, like wrapping a present. Spray the fabric with adhesive as you work. Press the fabric against the side of the box. Trim the excess fabric with scissors to leave a 2-inch flap. Spray that flap with adhesive and press it over the box lip and down the inside. Proceed the same way with the remaining side.

    • 6

Braid three colorful pipe cleaners to make a handle for the basket. Hot glue the ends in the middle of the Easter basket on either sides with hot glue.

    • 7

Attach decorative trim around the edge of the Easter basket such as ribbons or lace. Add embellishments such as little fake flowers, little painted wood Easter eggs, cut-outs and peel-and-stick foam shapes. Fill the basket with shredded "grass."
