How to Reinstall PowerPoint
When all other troubleshooting fails, the best option is to perform a complete uninstall of the software and then reinstall it. Although some versions of PowerPoint come with a reinstall option, if you have had problems with the software, it is better to uninstall PowerPoint completely before reinstalling. Uninstalling the program completely may be a little more time consuming, but complete reinstalls fix most problems and, as long as you have the installation disk, it is an easy process.

Tips & Warnings
After uninstalling PowerPoint or Office, you may want to run a registry cleaning program. Freeware programs such as Eusing Free Registry Cleane or CCleaner are available online (see Resources).
Reinstalling should be a last resort option, as this does not maintain any of your default settings for the software.
