From time to time you may want to know what your teenagers are really up to, or perhaps you are suspicious of your husband's behavior. Maybe you accidentally deleted one your text messages. Whatever the case, you can easily read your or someone else's text messages with a handy sim card reader.

Buy a USB Sim card reader. A few good places to look for one are BrickHouseSecurity.com, SimRecovery.com and SimCon.no

Download and install the software application, or install it from the CD ROM.

Take out the sim card from your cell phone by removing the back cover and taking out the battery. The sim card is the small rectangular-shaped piece of plastic. You may have to lift up a small metal gate to slide the card out.

Take the sim card and slip it into the USB card reading device that came with your kit.

Connect the USB device to your computer by plugging it into the USB slot.

Open the software application that you installed earlier.

Go to “File” and “Read Text Messages” or click on the “Sync” button in the upper right-hand corner of the application. This will bring up a list of text messagesm, both deleted and undeleted. The deleted ones will be marked in red.

Undelete the text messages by selecting the one that you wish to read and right clicking it, then click “Undelete.”
