How to Uninstall Gadgets in Vista
One of the features that Vista added to Windows is the Sidebar. The Sidebar is capable of holding several mini-programs known as gadgets. Gadgets range from clocks, to devices that report processor speed and temperature, to programs that deliver news. If you decide you don't want a gadget anymore, you can easily remove it from the Sidebar.

Open the Vista Sidebar by clicking "Start" then "All Programs." Click "Accessories" then "Windows Sidebar."

Right-click on the Sidebar.

Click "Properties" on the menu that appears.

Click the "View list of running gadgets" button in the window that appears.

Click on the gadget you want to remove, then click the "Remove" button. Click "OK" when finished.
